What Is Folding@Home?
Folding@Home is a program put out by Stanford University to help research on certain diseases like Alzheimer's, ALS, AIDS, Huntington's, Parkinson's disease, many cancers, among others. You put an application onto your computer and it will start using your idle computer (using your CPU and/or GPU) to simulate protein folding (which helps the research they are doing).
Oh, cool! But, why are we talking about this here?
We have decided to make our own Folding@Home team! To help us out, you can grab the program from the official website, then setup the program to use our team ID 228748. Soon, we will have a reward for you on the server for folding with us, so make sure your Folding@Home username is the same as your Minecraft username, so we know its you.
